Sixth College's Family Weekend is an opportunity for students and their families to reconnect and experience the liveliness and diversity of intellectual and co-curricular life at Sixth College and UC San Diego.
Sixth College faculty can participate in Family Weekend by:
- Communicating with students and families over lunch
- Presenting sessions about academic life
- Answering questions and concerns throughout the afternoon program
UC San Diego Family Weekend:
- Reconnects family members with each other
- Helps family members understand and appreciate Sixth College's academic program
- Helps family members understand the nature of integrated support provided to Sixth College students
- Creates a positive foundation for family connection to the college and the University
- Assures that parents leave with a concrete understanding of how to receive information about Sixth College and UCSD and how to support the college
