Core Advisory Group

The Sixth College Core Advisory Group:

• Works with the Sixth College Writing Program director to develop writing assessment mechanisms appropriate to each writing program
• Utilizes such assessments to ensure that Sixth College fulfills the agreed-upon campuswide goals for the Writing Programs
• Participates in the regular CEP reviews of the Writing Program and the Core Sequence

• Has a rotating membership with service terms of 3 years each

UCSD campuswide Writing Program goals are as follows:

• College writing instruction at UCSD serves the entire campus.
• College Writing Programs can be expected to provide skills that are applicable to a variety of fields.
• The central responsibility of the College Writing Programs is to teach university-level writing.
