Practicum Advisory Committee

Sixth College Practicum Program Advisory Committee

The Sixth College Practicum Committee ensures that the Practicum:

• Follows UCSD Academic Senate rules and guidelines
• Applies high academic standards
• Establishes explicit educational goals

Committee duties include:

• Reviewing non-traditional, non-typical Practicum proposals and advising the coordinator in the decision-making process
• Reviewing petitions and advising the coordinator in the decision-making process
• Initiating discussions and self-reflection processes to assure the program stays intellectually vibrant
• Advising on how best to initiate faculty interest in serving as Practicum project mentors
