How to Plan Your Schedule and Enroll in Classes

1.  Find out your enrollment appointment time.

    1. Go to the TritonLink Academics tab during Week 5 of the quarter (or in late August for Fall Quarter) to link to information about enrollment date and time.
Note: New students must take the WebReg Tutorial (PDF).

2.  Decide what classes you will take.

    1. Review your General Education requirements. Also, consult the complete GE List for a detailed list of approved GE courses.
    2. Link to the Four-Year Plan for your major.
    3. View your Degree Audit to see the course requirements you need to fulfill. (Requirements in red are not completed, and requirements in blue have been completed.)

3.  Check the course offerings.

    1. View the Schedule of Classes to see what courses are offered for the quarter. For additional help, read How to Use the Schedule of Classes. Have alternative courses ready since the classes you may want to add may be full.
    2. View the UCSD Catalog and the Department Web site for course description and syllabus.

4.  Get expert advice.

    1. After researching the courses, meet with a Sixth College advisor and/or your department advisor for additional assistance.

5.  Enroll in your classes.

    1. Consult the Enrollment Checklist to be sure you are ready to enroll.
    2. To secure your courses, visit WebReg, and enroll in 12 or more units as soon as your enrollment appointment begins.

Note: WebReg will not allow you to enroll in or wait-list more than 19.5 units before the first day of the quarter.

6.  View and print your schedule.

    1. After enrolling, review your weekly planner on Tritonlink to make sure there are no course conflicts. Print out your planner.

7.  Get more information.
