CAT 125: The Practicum Reflective Writing Course

A 4-unit writing course that encourages students to reflect on their experience with Practicum Project. Explore how effective you were in achieving the goals you set for yourself and define ways that you might improve in the future.

CAT 125 can be taken up to 2 quarters after completing your project. After 2 quarters, students are required to submit a proposal for a new project and begin the entire process again.

In CAT 125, you will achieve the following:

  • Link your general education to your Practicum projects.
  • Practice communicating with people of various backgrounds.
  • Use writing as a tool for exploring culture and for understanding yourself in relation to your community

CAT 125 activities include:

  • Writing workshops throughout the quarter.
  • Peer-to-Peer Editing.
  • Comparing reflective past and present reflective essays.
  • A significant written essay component (15-20 pages).
