As Interim Associate Director for Writing, I have the pleasure of working collaboratively with CAT faculty and teaching assistants to foster a dynamic and enlightening core sequence. My desire is for each student to learn the fundamentals of critical thinking at the college level, including the ability to make a clear and organized argument. Writing effectively is a communication skill that is highly sought after in our evolving world climate, and the CAT program seeks to prepare students for the demands of a rapidly changing future. My research expertise is in Ancient Near Eastern language, culture, and literature. I am particularly interested in the origins of the Abrahamic religions: Judaism, Christianity, and Islam.
