Application Process

There are two application periods for the Sixth College Study Abroad Scholarship each year. Students studying abroad in the winter or spring quarters apply for scholarship funding during the fall quarter before they go abroad. Students studying abroad in the summer or fall quarters submit their applications during the winter quarter before their study abroad programs.

  • Winter/Spring 2019 submission deadline: Friday, November 23, 2018.
  • Summer/Fall 2019 submission deadline: Friday, March 1, 2019.

Each application must be completely filled out and e-mailed to sixthstudyabroad@ucsd.edu by the end of the day on the submission deadline. Once the application period has ended and all submissions have been received, each application is reviewed by the Sixth College Study Abroad Scholarship Committee. Only complete applications will be considered. Once the review process is finished, awardees will be notified of the funding they will receive by e-mail.
