Sixth College Tradition
Winter Game Fest

Gamers come together for a weekend of gaming and prizes. Tournaments include: Halo 3, DoTA, Starcraft, Madden, Call of Duty, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and more! There's also a free play area for the new or casual gamer. There's something for everyone!

All new incoming students should have registered for the MANDATORY Sixth College Orientation program. If you have any further questions, please contact

Parent/Family Orientation
Parents and Family will be able to register once the student has registered and provided us with the parent email address. An email will be sent with the link to the registration form. Registration for the Parent/Family Orientation will close on August 31st. If you have questions, please refer to the Parent/Family Website.

Class Enrollment Period
New First Year Students will receive a recommended course list August 14. Students should review their recommendations and prepare for the enrollment period to start on August 26. Transfer students should be in touch with their major departments to develop a recommended schedule for the Fall quarter. The transfer student enrollment period will be from August 24-August 29. You may be unable to register for classes if you have a hold on your account

Upcoming Deadlines and Important Dates
August 14

Review your course recommendations from your Academic Advisor.

August 17 Online E-Advising begins for fall course enrollment.
Online enrollment period for all New Freshmen Students begins.
September 16 Move-in Day for students with on-campus housing contracts. 
September 17 Parent/Family Orientation.


New Student Orientation.


Online enrollment period for all New Transfer Students.

September 21 Transfer Student Orientation.

Commuter Students

If you will be a Commuter Student next school year, have no fear! Commuter students are important and valued members of the Sixth College and UCSD communities. We provide tons of resources for commuting students. This includes a commuter center, the Commuters in Action (CIA) student organization, socials, and other campus resources. Being connected to the campus and getting involved with leadership and other involvement opportunities will enrich your college experience.
