TMC 15: Public Service in America – Now Open To All Students
 
Public Service in America, the core class for the Public Service Minor, will be offered in the Spring Quarter and is open to all students interested in expanding their knowledge on service in society. It is a 4.0 unit interactive course aimed to help you discover the history and importance of the independent sector, develop your interests into purposeful practice, and meet experienced community leaders.

This class will meet Tuesdays & Thursdays, 9:30am - 10:50am .

REV 12: The Science of Mindfulness – Now Offered to Sixers
 
This one-unit course is for undergrads of all levels who want to learn about the science of mindfulness and how to use it for stress management, interpersonal skills, performance improvement, and to increase a sense of well-being. The course will consist of lectures, readings, discussions, and experiential exercises to help students understand and experience the practical uses of this powerful tool for well-being.

Lectures are Thursdays, 3:30pm - 4:20pm in the Revelle College Formal Lounge. I f you would like to be pre-authorized to enroll in this class, please send an email to ndaly@ucsd.edu.

Each of the 8 weeks covers a different topic of wellness such as cardio, free weights, stretching and relaxation, and nutrition. Students will be instructed in small groups by a certified trainer in the intimate setting of our wellness studio. Our program is located in classes on the registration window, under the category of Personal Wellness Programs.

César E. Chávez Undergrad Student Essay Contest 
 
The César E. Chávez Planning Committee is happy to present the 4th Annual UC San Diego Undergraduate Student Essay Contest Award in honor of César E. Chávez. The award will recognize students who have demonstrated commitment to the advancement of César’s core values at UC San Diego and abroad.

Winners will receive the monetary prizes and recognition in UC San Diego media publications. Prize Recipients will be asked to attend the César E. Chávez Celebration Kickoff Luncheon on Friday, April, 6th at 11:30am in the Price Center-West Ballrooms A&B.

Applications must be submitted by Tuesday, March 27, 2018 . Essay Contest recipients will be notified by April 2nd. Please contact us using the email below if you are interested in submitting an essay.

Language Conversation Tables (LCTs) Spring 2018 – Host Wanted!
 
LCTs are one of I-House's most popular programs and they involve a collection of tables each featuring a different language. There are hosts at each table that facilitate the learning of that language! Hosts are typically fluent or conversational in the language that they choose.
