A Message from the Dean of Student Affairs

Sixth College and UCSD strive to foster a learning environment that promotes the growth and development of individual community members, supports an engaged and responsible community, and advances the college's mission of preparing effective citizens for the 21st century.

Central to this effort are the UCSD Principles of Community, the UCSD Policy on Integrity of Scholarship, and the UCSD Student Conduct Code. These principles, standards of conduct, and procedures are designed to address behaviors that impede the educational activity of the University or that infringe upon the rights of others.

The information on this Web site is intended to help you understand your rights and responsibilities as a member of the Sixth College and UCSD communities. You are expected to be familiar with all of these policies as you will be expected to abide by them.

Membership in the Sixth and UCSD communities is a privilege and carries with it the attendant responsibilities expressed on this Web site. I hope that by reviewing these expectations, you will commit yourself to the values of our community and to the academic mission of the college and the University.
