Transfer Student Timeline

Do It Now

1.

a) Activate your UCSD email Account. All official University correspondence is sent to this account, and it is the primary method for delivering information including critical enrollment and orientation information during the coming months.

b)Review your Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) and the SHIP waiver (left-hand side under TOOLS).  The waiver is open from June 4 to September 21.

Deadline to submit your Official Transcript to UCSD Admissions at:

July 11 and July 17

3.

Triton Transfer Connect (TTC): Become familiar with off-campus housing resources.  Attend workshops, socialize with your peers, and become acclimated to your new community.  For more information, please call (858)534-3670.

July 13 - August 10

Login to the New Student Gateway to register for the MANDATORY, Transfer Student Orientation Program on Monday, September 21.

a) Check your Academic History on TritonLink to view your transcripts.  Follow directions sent by your major department on how to contact your department advisor and create your schedule for the quarter.

b) If you did not receive any instructions from your major department, go to the Department Undgraduate Advisors List for information on how to contact your major department advisor in order to plan your schedule.

c) Discuss your schedule with your major department advisor.  Login to the New Student Gateway to submit your academic inforation and your proposed quarter schedule. 

d) Do not submit your academic information until you have talked to your major department.

e) You will receive an email when your college advisor has reviewed and approved your schedule.

August 14 - 21

Sixth College Academic Advisors are available to answer your questions via E-Advising.  Access the E-Advising tab in the New Student Gateway at http://newstudent.ucsd.edu to ask questions about your schedule.

August 20 - 23

Online enrollment period: All new transfer students will have enrollment appointments randomly assigned between August 20 - 21 and will be able to enroll until August 23.  After that date, enrollment will STOP and you will not be able to enroll in classes and make changes to your schedule until August 31.

IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT YOU ENROLL AT YOUR APPOINTMENT TIME AND NO LATER THAN AUGUST 23; OTHERWISE, YOU MAY NOT BE ABLE TO SECURE SEATS IN CLASSES.

Please note you cannot change your enrollment appointment time- no exceptions.
