Leadership Opportunities

Look into the many opportunities for leadership and involvement at Sixth College:

Sixth College Student Council (SCSC)

  • SCSC is the student governing body for Sixth College, consisting of both elected and appointed positions.
  • SCSC members represent all students in Sixth College.
  • SCSC provides funding for programs for Sixth and the campuswide community, and plans activities geared toward building community at Sixth College.
  • Get involved and join one of the SCSC committees:

    • The SCSC Programming Committee plans large-scale annual college programs including Kuncocshun, an annual celebration of student talent and creativity. Contact  Jo sey Tsao, Vice President of Programming  to learn how to join the Programming Commmittee.
    • The SCSC Arts Committee plans art-themed events and activities such as Spirit of the Masters. Contact   Nikki Sarto, Director of Arts  for information about how to join the Arts Committee.
    • The SCSC Culture Committee plans cultural events and activities such as C.H.A.O.S. (Cultures Having An Outrageous Scene). Contact  Diana Gao, Director of Culture  for information about joining the Culture Committee.
    • The SCSC Technology Committee plans technology-theme events and activities such as LAN parties and Winter Game Fest. Contact  Andrew Wu, Director of Technology  to learn how to join the Technology Committee.

Resident Advisors (RAs)

  • RAs are members of the Sixth College Residential Life staff who live on campus.
  • RAs serve as resources and mentors for residential students.
  • RAs plan and implement various programs, events, and activities on campus for Sixth College students.

Orientation Leaders (OLs)

  • OLs are Sixth College students who serve as resources for first-year and transfer students during new-student orientation programs.
  • OLs lead and facilitate groups of students during orientation.

Sixth College Ambassadors

  • Ambassadors are Sixth College students who strive to increase Sixth College students' sense of belonging and connectedness to the community.
  • Ambassadors assist with move-in, orientation, Welcome Week activities and other community building programs.
