UC San Diego strives to create a culture of care and support for all UCSD students. Over the past couple of years and especially during this pandemic, challenges and struggles for students with dependents have increased. Student Affairs Case Management Services wants to hear from you, our students with dependents. If you are a student with a dependent(s), we ask that you take a few minutes to fill out this brief needs assessment. It should only take about 3-5 minutes to complete. Please feel free to forward the survey link to other UC San Diego students with dependents. We appreciate your assistance in providing this information so we can explore additional ways to support you. In addition, if you are a UC San Diego student with dependent(s) who is experiencing increased hardship surrounding financial security, child care or general resources, you are encouraged to complete the Students with Dependents Assistance Form. This form will be assessed to provide individual resource suggestions and the option to meet with supportive staff for a Students with Dependents Assistance Consultation. The STEMtorship Network program is intended to create space where gender marginalized undergraduate students can connect and build community within the larger context of STEM as a male dominated field. We use the term “gender marginalized” to recognize the impact of sexism on many communities including, but not limited to, transgender women, cisgender women, transgender men, non-binary individuals, and gender non-conforming individuals. Students who complete all aspects of the program can receive CCR credit. The STEMtorship Network program has been reimagined to be more flexible! Students can register at any time, choose their level of engagement and attend programs that fit their schedules.
