I am an artist, musician, and educator and I have performed, exhibited, and led workshops internationally. I incorporate strategies of play, speculation, and the ethno-fictional into my work across the mediums of performance, photography, video, writing, sound, dance, theater, installations, and games.

I grew up with fine storytellers in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains in North Carolina. My own stories are often concerned with technology, science, the body, labor, excess, healing, memory, affect, and trauma. The notion of "play" is a central concept and active goal of my work where investigations of self and place may be performed, mythologized, and re-imagined.

I have worked professionally as a producer, director, and cinematographer for various bands and clients including VICE and "The Creator's Project." I have produced work in collaboration with Creative Time and the Museom of Modern Art in New York City and with the Nobel Peace Center in Oslo, Norway. I have worked with Schools Without Borders in Havana, Cuba and participated in the Hemispheric Institute of Performance and Politics in New York and Brazil
