CAT 2:  The Process of Music:  A Study Of Listening, Composing, and Performing

Joe Bigham

This course examines how we actively negotiate music as listeners and musicians by examining music’s layers of process and procedure. Students will consider how music is learned, performed, composed, recorded, and heard. They will look at technologies that have transformed musical processes, and draw parallels between those processes and rhetorical composition.
