Philosophy

The Student Affairs team works with students to engage in out-of-classroom experiences which support the educational mission of the University.  We understand the challenges of navigating a large research institution such as UCSD, and we work to connect students to resources to assist them with personal and academic success.

We want students to fully engage during their time at UCSD. We provide services, resources, leadership development opportunities, activities and events to enhance student engagement and the student experience. Our goal is to prepare students to become effective global citizens who engage creatively and ethically with the complex issues facing the world.
