Coping with Election-Related Stress and Trauma

The 2020 election is at the forefront of national conversation and it can impact us all regardless of political opinion. Witnessing demeaning language and hostile behavior from political leaders and the media can be difficult, especially for survivors of violence, abuse, and bullying. It might be difficult to focus on work, school, or be fully present with family and/or loved ones. Join CARE at SARC for a guided discussion focused on managing stress and enhancing resilience during the 2020 Election.

FOR STAFF AND FACULTY Co-hosted with the Faculty and Staff Assistance Program (FSAP) Join us Tuesday, October 20, 12pm-1pm on zoom!

Tritons Vote!

The November election is fast approaching and next Monday, Oct 19th, is the LAST DAY for you all to update your voter registration to your current address, or register for the first time. Many of you have moved addresses often this year given the pandemic or other circumstances, and it’s important that your registration and mailing address is up to date so you receive your ballot on time. Register for the first time or update your registration status right here! As the largest and most diverse generation alive right now, young people have a chance to make a real impact in our country if every eligible voter participates in elections. In order to make sure that you can raise your voice and cast your vote in the upcoming local, state, and federal elections, you need to be registered to vote at your current address. If you need to register for the first time or you moved since you last registered, you can update your registration right here. Voting Resources: Check your voter registration status and find out more about upcoming elections, including how to vote safely by mail. If you have moved back home you need to update your address. Want to help get out the vote this Fall? The Vote Coalition is working this Fall to make sure every student on campus gets the chance to update their registration and turns out on Election Day. They have volunteer and internship opportunities available. Sign up here to learn more.
