Academic Plans

Academic Plans are designed to assist students with long-term academic planning. These example plans incorporate University, General Education, and Major requirements which can be found at plans.ucsd.edu. They provide an overview of the recommended course schedules to facilitate graduation from UC San Diego for any major. This site includes plans for first-year students and transfer students. Some majors have three year finish plans for students who entered as first years. Please take into consideration that major requirements and time-to-degree varies per individual.

Academic plans should be used as a guide only; we highly encourage you to consult with your major department advisor and your college advisor to obtain in-depth advising about your requirements. In addition, plans do not guarantee that courses will be offered in the quarters listed.

If you have further questions regarding your long-term academic plan, contact Sixth College Academic Advising via the Virtual Advising Center.

To get started making your own long-term academic plan, you can use the online Degree Planner or download the university quarter by quarter planning sheet
