UCSD Spirit Night

Show that you are a proud triton by cheering on the UCSD basketball team against Cal Poly Pomona! Don't forget to show off that Sixth spirit!

Chalk The Walk

Hosted by Athletics, come and make a chalk painting for Sixth College at Monday's Chalk the Walk, a campus-wide chalking competition. Then, help create a unifying art piece with all our fellow colleges on Tuesday. Both of these events will be taking place on Library Walk and will last from the morning until 3 pm. Any art you make will count toward Cup of Cheer points for Sixth College during Spirit Night. For more information, check out the @Sixth College Student Council Facebook page.

Can't Buy Me Spirit!

Create a blue, gold, and glow-in-the-dark tie-dye shirt to show your Triton Pride at Spirit Night this year! Take some fun pictures at an 80's style photo booth, plus a free shirt provided. For more information, check out the @Sixth College Student Council Facebook page.

Pre-Tailgate Tailgate

Join your fellow Sixers as we make some DIY spirit gear and get ready for the Spirit Night tailgate and basketball game at RIMAC! A reminder that the first 75 students to attend the events Can't Buy Me Spirit!, Gatsby's Great Snowball, the Pre-Tailgate Tailgate, and check-in at the Spirit Night tailgate win a free sweatshirt.

MLK Day of Service and Parade

In honor of Martin Luther King jr., join Sixth College in his celebration through these following events.

Day of Service (Saturday, January 18, 9am - 1:30pm at Mission Bay High School)

Parade (Sunday, January 19, 2-4pm in Downtown San Diego along the Embarcadero) Transportation available to and from the parade for all students.

Hard Hack
HARD HACK registration is OPEN! This year you'll interact with representatives from Northrop Grumman, Texas Instruments, and many more to be announced very soon. We will be offering more hardware and of course there will be free food and lots of swag! Don't know anything about hardware? The Capital Fellows Programs are nationally recognized public policy fellowships offering unique experiences in policy-making and development in each branch of California state government. Fellows work for 10-11 months as full-time, paid staff members in the State Assembly, State Senate, Executive Branch or the Judiciary. The fellowships are administered by the Center for California Studies at California State University, Sacramento, and are an outstanding opportunity for college graduates to engage in public service and prepare for future careers.

Donald A. Strauss Scholarship Info Session
Global TIES, UC San Diego’s award winning humanitarian engineering, social innovation, and sustainable development program, is hosting an information session to learn about the Donald A. Strauss Scholarship, which awards at least $8,000 for the project and up to $7,000 in scholarship money for project support to sophomore and junior changemakers. Holiday Airport Shuttle

The shuttle costs $5 to use and reservations can be made online. Reservation is required and it is on a first come first serve basis so get yours soon.
