Binging With Babish
Something's cooking in the Winter Triton Fest kitchen! We're being joined by YouTube sensation Binging with Babish for a delicious food demonstration and live Q&A. Andrew Rea is the creator and star of the hit YouTube show, Binging with Babish. Despite only being online since 2016, the show has an astounding 4.8 million fans and counting, making it one of the most popular web-based cooking shows of all time. New videos routinely receive 1 to 3 million views, with some being watched a staggering 12 million times. He is one part chef, one part filmmaker, and a generous dash of irreverent YouTube personality. His passion for teaching and experimenting in the kitchen is rivaled only by his love of film and television, both of which he endeavors to share from his New York City kitchen. CALPIRG Students is a student organization here that works to protect the environment, fight hunger and homelessness, and promote civic engagement. This Fall we helped nearly 10,000 students register to vote in California! This Winter we are working to tackle the biggest problem facing our generation - climate change. Coming off another record-setting fire season, it’s clear we need to take strong, swift action to reduce the impacts of climate change. Students with Dependents Survey and Students with Dependents Assistance Form
UC San Diego strives to create a culture of care and support for all UCSD students. Over the past couple of years and especially during this pandemic, challenges and struggles for students with dependents have increased. Student Affairs Case Management Services wants to hear from you, our students with dependents. If you are a student with a dependent(s), we ask that you take a few minutes to fill out this brief needs assessment. It should only take about 3-5 minutes to complete. Please feel free to forward the survey link to other UC San Diego students with dependents. We appreciate your assistance in providing this information so we can explore additional ways to support you. In addition, if you are a UC San Diego student with dependent(s) who is experiencing increased hardship surrounding financial security, child care or general resources, you are encouraged to complete the Students with Dependents Assistance Form. This form will be assessed to provide individual resource suggestions and the option to meet with supportive staff for a Students with Dependents Assistance Consultation. Your personalized consultation appointment with staff will provide an opportunity for you to discuss resources and assess your financial needs.

Get Your Flu Vaccine Today!
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends that everyone 6 months old and older get a flu shot every year. It takes about two weeks for immunity to develop, so get vaccinated early in fall, before flu season begins or as soon as you can. The influenza vaccine is now available at doctors’ offices and pharmacies throughout San Diego County and is covered by medical insurance. People who do not have healthcare coverage can get vaccinated at one of the County’s six Public Health Centers or a local community clinic.

The STEMtorship Network program is intended to create space where gender marginalized undergraduate students can connect and build community within the larger context of STEM as a male dominated field. We use the term “gender marginalized” to recognize the impact of sexism on many communities including, but not limited to, transgender women, cisgender women, transgender men, non-binary individuals, and gender non-conforming individuals. Students who complete all aspects of the program can receive CCR credit. The STEMtorship Network program has been reimagined to be more flexible! Students can register at any time, choose their level of engagement and attend programs that fit their schedules.
