Ameera Mcqueen

My name is Ameera McQueen, and I have the pleasure of serving as the Coordinator of Student Activities here at Sixth College.

I was born and raised for much of my life in New York City. In highschool I moved out west to Surprise Arizona and have stayed out west ever since. I earned my B.S in Hotel and Restaurant Management with a minor in Anthropology, and my M.S in Higher Education Counseling & Student Affairs.  

I have had the unique opportunity to work in a wide range of areas within student affairs such as, student activities, transfer & commuter student success, student leadership and student mentoring. In my current role as the Coordinator of Student activities I am here help you build community, try new things,  and seek student leadership opportunities during your time here at Sixth College.  

In my free time I enjoy spending time outside in my garden, cooking, watching movies and teaching Zumba. Hoping to see you at a Sixth event, council meeting or just around the Neighborhood! Don't be afraid to say hi!
