Orientation Part I, the summer advising webinars, have concluded for 2026. This program was for new incoming Sixth students coming to UC San Diego in Fall 2026. Below are copies of the slide decks and linked are the video recordings for Orientation Part I 2026. Please note that there is separate content for incoming first years and incoming transfers. Attendees can use this content to reference materials discussed. These materials are also part of the Orientation Part I make up assignment.

Academic Advising Picnic 5/12 (concluded)

Grab your lunchbox, your laptop, and join Sixth Academic Advising for our Spring Advising Picnic! Tuesday, May 12th, meet Sixth Academic Advisors on the East Lawn from 11:00AM to 1:00PM for snacks, lawn games, and crafts!

Bring your laptop to meet one-on-one with an Advisor for a quick degree audit check to ensure you're on track for graduation, create custom keychains or tassel charms for grad caps, write a letter or a thank you card to a Professor or graduating senior, or bring your lunch to relax and play games with friends! We can't wait to see you there!

Student Success Coaching Program Drop-Ins 4/21 (concluded)

On Tuesday, April 21, Student Success Coach Caitlin Hernandez will be offering in-person success coaching drop-ins from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Coaching sessions are about 15 minutes. Please sign in by 3:15 p.m. to join on Tuesday, April 21. This is a one-time event that is open to all Sixth students. Caitlin is looking forward to meeting/seeing you there!
