Orientation Employment Opportunities

Sixth College Orientation

Sixth College Orientation hires close to 30 students every year to serve in various positions that directly support our three-part Orientation program. Our Orientation Leaders, Senior Orientation Leaders, and Orientation Intern instill Sixer/Triton pride, lay the foundation for student success, and welcome new students and families to the Sixth College family while gaining valuable leadership skills!

Benefits of working with the Sixth College Orientation Team:

  • Gain/improve skills in public speaking and group facilitation
  • Learn more about the history and traditions of Sixth and UC San Diego
  • Build relationships with other student leaders and Sixth College staff
  • Gain/improve transferable skills in the areas of time and project management, conflict resolution, diversity and social justice education, and problem solving that you can take with you to other positions on campus and your post-graduate pursuits!

Any student who is currently enrolled at UC San Diego is eligible to apply, and we strongly encourage Commuter and Transfer students to apply to the Orientation Leader position!

Orientation Leaders (New)

Sixth College Orientation Leaders (OLs) help to create the first impression of Sixth College to our new students (First Years and Transfers) and their parents and families. Sixth College OLs serve as role models to our new students while introducing them to campus and helping them transition into the academic year eager to engage in and contribute to the Sixth College and UC San Diego communities.
